Oar Mighty Mates 2C are a team of two friends, Andy Purvis & Tim (SeaSports) Cox. Our team got together in the face of adversity after the original team got to the start line only for them to be unable to start the race. Tim who loves the outdoors as much as Andy stepped in to create Oar Mighty Mates 2C to make sure we can go again in 2024. We are both excited and honoured to have the opportunity to fight this ultimate challenge together and raise money for charity
Oar Mighty Mates 2C are a team of two friends brought together in the face of adversity to row a staggering 3,000 miles in the Atlantic Ocean. We believe that two ordinary people can achieve great things together, hence our participation in World’s Toughest Row Atlantic Challenge in 2024.
Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity. Their nurses are known as Admiral Nurses, who are continually supported and developed by the charity, provide life changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Since 2010, this charity has worked to improve the way bereaved parents are cared for by hospitals and to better educate midwives on how to care for grieving parents.
By working with medical professionals to understand the issues and seek solutions they have helped many families in the most difficult of times
